Our mission: to play a key role in development.

The group’s mission is to help improve, through energy generation, the everyday quality of life of individuals, creating value for staff, customers, shareholders and the territories in which it operates.
 
The group’s main goal is to maintain its leading role as independent refiner in the Mediterranean sea through  a high-level technological development in the energy sector, on competitive terms and with a code of conduct that emphasises staff training, safety and environmental compatibility.

The Saras Group promotes an ethical and responsible approach in each of its activities. The companies are run and business is conducted with respect for the legitimate expectations of all of those who operate with a philosophy of correctness towards the market, the company and society. In 2004, Saras adopted a code of ethics that establishes principles of socio-ethical responsibility. The code specifies standards of conduct intended to ensure compliance with these principles in relationships with shareholders, employees, partners, customers and suppliers as well as with all the organizations and institutions directly or indirectly affected by the Group's activities. Finally, a supervisory body was set up to guarantee application of the principles and standards laid down in the code.

We are constantly striving to improve safety and standards as we carry out our activities. This constant effort is crucial in earning the confidence of our stakeholders, shareholders and the general public, and in giving lasting satisfaction to our customers.
  • Responsibility: For Saras, responsibility is the ethical decision to accept the consequences of its own actions, and to be steadfast, monitoring and responding to the business, environmental or social expectations of its shareholders and all those who have an interest in the company. It aims to achieve competitive advantage and maximise long-term returns, taking the initiative and making decisions in the area of expertise and responsibility.
