The overall yield of light and medium products (such as LPG, gasoline and diesel) was 81.6% in 2008, of which almost 53% were medium distillates, largely consisting of automotive diesel.

Other products included fuel oil, which accounts for a low proportion of production (around 5%), since the majority of heavy refining residues is sent to the IGCC plant, which is fully integrated with the other refinery units, to be used in the production of electricity, steam and hydrogen energy. This also represents a significant competitive advantage for Saras, in that the demand for high sulphur fuel oil is set to reduce constantly, and be replaced by low sulphur gasoil.
