Saras is particularly committed to:

• further reducing atmospheric emissions to ensure minimum impact on air quality
• continuing activities relating to the prevention of sea pollution by monitoring sea transport and waste water treatment
• minimising the use of fresh water from external sources
• improving the waste management cycle, promoting recovery
• developing a system for monitoring emissions and environmental quality
• improving the accessibility and availability of data and research
• mitigating the impact of its activities on the surrounding community.

Maintaining biodiversity is a key element in Saras’ environmental policy to ensure sustainable growth.

However, the company is aware that to achieve its defined objectives, it requires the involvement not only of all its employees from management down, but also of everyone who works for the Group - contractors, suppliers and individuals. Continuous training is therefore key, both to update staff and to raise awareness of the importance of the active role that each person can and should play in helping to achieve this objective.
