Social and Ethical responsibility: promoting safety and environmental concerns, and taking full responsibility for our actions

Saras is aware of the importance of energy in all our daily lives, and of its impact on the region and the environment. We have been refining oil for nearly half a century and generating electricity since the year 2000; we have always been conscious of the need for careful management of such precious resources, through our strategic decisions and investment policies, on account of the effect they have on the region and the environment.

We have adopted a responsible attitude aimed at preserving the entire eco-system, as we consider that the success of a large company must also be measured in terms of its commitment to building a sustainable future.

Through the Code of Ethics , Saras, with honesty and transparency, has assumed the engagement to guarantee, with own attitude, a continuous and long-lasting action of e nvironmental safeguard and protection of the interests of the individuals and the entire community that entertain relationships with it.

In order to verify the attainment of such objective, it is chosen to use the instrument of the dialogue, lead in free and opened way, that,  vesting value in every interlocutor, gives him the same importance and dignity.

With this in mind, we have done much over the years to forge a culture of "responsibility” by adopting conduct and procedures aimed at ensuring maximum safety and minimum impact on the environment.

Our future is built on an increasing commitment to safeguarding the environment, starting with training. Creating a culture of energy is part of that commitment.
