The Safety Management System for the prevention of major accidents

The group’s Safety Management System for the prevention of major accidents, developed pursuant to Legislative Decree 334/99 (Seveso II), provides for the adoption of safety management instruments for industrial activities at a high risk of major accidents. The main instruments are:

  • the Safety Report
  • the Internal Emergency Plan
  • the External Emergency Plan

In April 2000, in application of the legislation in force, Saras drew up some documents and instruments to manage safety at the Sarroch site, which are periodically reviewed and updated:

  • Major Accident Prevention Policy, issued in 2004 and updated in 2006
  • Safety Management System Procedures
  • Safety Management System Manual
