Saras’ health and safety policy in working places

Saras considers health and safety in working places as a key value, and ensures the protection of its staff in the operation of its everyday production activities.

In addition to complying with legal obligations, Saras has set itself the objective of continuous improvement, and for this reason, is committed to adopting principles, standards and solutions of best practice in the sector.

Saras undertakes to manage its operations with the aim of preventing injury, accidents and occupational illness, and in particular to:

  • ensure that the design, implementation and maintenance of plant, machinery and equipment for its site protect the health and safety of workers
  • implement increasingly effective working methods and organisational structures to protect the health and safety of workers, third-parties who access the site, and people from the local community
  • inform staff and employee representatives about industrial hygiene monitoring programmes and the results obtained
  • provide all staff with information and training on the specific risks associated with their roles and ensure that this is updated if they change position
  • provide third parties who access the site with information and training on the specific risks associated with the activities carried out on the premises
  • involve and empower employees and personnel from contracting firms so that they can take part in the pursuit of objectives relating to the protection of health and safety
  • develop a relationship of constructive co-operation, aimed at complete transparency and trust, both internally and with all external players, in respect of health and safety issues.

Saras is committed to applying the best standards in its spheres of activity, in order to guarantee maximum safety for all its employees.

The responsibility for implementing this policy lies not only with management but with all employees, who therefore undertake to work safely in order not to cause accidents to themselves or to others.
